Controlling z/OS Applications

Applications are the reason that IT infrastructure exists, so their performance is business critical.
Applications are also the area in tuning which can give the best results in terms of resource (and financial) savings.
For these reasons its very important to control application performance and resource consumption and quickly identify tuning opportunities and abnormal behavior.
In this paper some useful techniques to control z/OS applications are discussed.
